Policies
Every one of these starts with a plain summary of what it actually means for you. The full legal text follows underneath. We aren’t hiding it, but you shouldn’t have to read it to understand the deal.

Terms of service
Last updated Jun 1, 2026
Your contract is with PhotoDrone, not with the pilot who shows up. We're responsible for the work being delivered as quoted. Accepting a quote locks its price and scope, and we can't change either afterwards without telling you.
Cancellation & rescheduling
Last updated Sep 13, 2026
More than 24 hours before the shoot, canceling costs nothing beyond the deposit, which isn't refunded but carries over if you reschedule. Inside 24 hours, you lose the 10% deposit and nothing more. Weather is always free.
Privacy
Last updated Mar 14, 2026
We collect what a job needs: your contact details, the job-site address, and the files. We don't sell any of it. Your pilot sees the address and your name only after they accept. Before that, they see a general area.
Image rights & licensing
Last updated Jun 1, 2026
On approval you get a full commercial license for the delivered files: listings, marketing, reports, social, print, no expiry. We keep the right to show the work in our own portfolio, and if you ask we'll exclude your job.
Safety & airspace
Last updated Jul 28, 2026
Pilots refuse to fly when conditions are unsafe, and we back that decision every time, even when it costs us the booking. Some sites need FAA authorization we arrange, and a few can't be flown at all, and we say so before you pay.
Operator policy
Last updated Jul 28, 2026 · for pilots
Pilots are independent operators, paid 70% of the services subtotal, plus travel in full, 7 days after customer approval. Credentials must stay current or offers stop automatically. Suspension requires a written reason the pilot can see.
When these change
We email account holders at least 14 days before any material change, and the summary explains what moved and why. Quotes you have already accepted keep the terms you agreed to. A policy update never reaches backwards into a booked job.
