Cancellation & rescheduling

Version 2.2 · effective Sep 13, 2026 · applies to bookings made on or after that date

The whole policy in four lines

  • More than 24 hours before the shoot, cancel free, or reschedule and your deposit carries over.
  • Inside 24 hours, you lose the 10% deposit, because your pilot has already committed the time.
  • Weather or unsafe conditions are always free to reschedule, no fee, price unchanged.
  • The 10% deposit isn't refunded in cash, but it carries over whenever you reschedule or rebook.

2.1Cancellation by the customer

Cancellation must be submitted in writing through the PhotoDrone application or to support@photodrone.com. The effective time of cancellation is the time of receipt, not the time of sending. Where cancellation is received more than twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled appointment window, no cancellation fee is assessed and the deposit's retained but remains applicable to a rescheduled booking of the same scope within ninety (90) days.

Where cancellation is received within twenty-four (24) hours of the appointment window, the deposit is forfeited and no further fee is assessed. The deposit is the entire cancellation fee: PhotoDrone doesn't charge a percentage of job value for a customer cancellation and doesn't collect any amount beyond the deposit already held.

2.2Rescheduling

Rescheduling more than twenty-four (24) hours before the appointment window carries no fee, and the deposit and quoted price are preserved provided the scope is unchanged. Where a rescheduled date falls outside the original quote's pricing period and the scope has changed, PhotoDrone will issue a revised quote for acceptance rather than adjusting the existing one.

2.3Weather and safety

Where the assigned operator determines that flight can't be conducted safely or lawfully (including on grounds of wind, precipitation, visibility, airspace restriction, or on-site hazard) the appointment is rescheduled at no cost to the customer and no fee is assessed. That determination rests with the operator and PhotoDrone won't overrule it. Repeated weather rescheduling doesn't reduce the deposit's applicability.

2.4Cancellation by PhotoDrone

Where PhotoDrone cancels a confirmed booking for any reason other than customer conduct or job-site inaccessibility, all amounts paid including the deposit are refunded in full. Where a booking can't be filled with a qualified operator, PhotoDrone will offer validated alternative appointment times before treating the booking as canceled.
